Just the other day I walked into the living room when my grandparents were halfway in a conversation. Then heard that they were actually talking about siblings and relatives that had passed away..

Think it started when gor pei gong was admitted to hospital again. I guess more complications this time like heart or lung problems.. and I heard that it wasn't good news like it was just a matter of time.

My grandfather recently kept asking me when I will I graduate from school and stuff.. I got the hint and I know..

Seeing my grandparents at home everyday with nothing much to do, I do sense their loneliness at times and their pessismism about life.

I see my parents working so hard for money. My dad especially.. to earn the extra income for the family...

And I tell myself that I do not want to be like them. The cycle needs to change. Is it so hard to get a good life? Yes or no but you have to have what it takes to be that 5% of the population.
